Not-so-random acts to celebrate World Kindness Day
Seventeen years ago today (Nov 13), a bunch of international NGOs got together and said, “Let’s set aside a day, just one day a year, to remind people to go out of their way to be kind to each other. Because
this whole being organically kind to each other thing just isn’t working out.” And thus, World Kindness Day was born. Obviously, this convention hasn’t quite caught on in our city. Not that Thais aren’t
kind; we do things like overlook the rules for penniless pageant princesses all the time. But there’s always room for improvement. Guru has a few suggestions on how to be kinder than usual on World Kindness Day.
