BANGKOK: NACC’s 2010 crackdown reported expected this year

The National Anti-Corruption Commission expects to wrap up its investigation into the 2010 deadly crackdown on red shirt demonstrators before the terms of some of its commissioners – including its chairman – end at the end of the year.

The investigation has been directed at Abhisit Vejjajiva, the prime minister at the time, his then deputy Suthep Thaugsuban and a then director of the Centre for Resolutions of Emergency Situation.
