BANGKOK: Taxi fare rise in offing as cabs pass test

A 5% rise in taxi fare rates could be approved this year after the latest evaluation of taxi services in Bangkok and nearby areas passed the required standard.

They should investigate again how many taxis refuse the customers when the required locations aren’t “interesting” for some mafia and the “no meter” answer, especially in the Sukhumvit area in between Soi 3 and Oh Nut BTS-station!!! DISGUSTING.

When they explain you that their time is running out one can accept; when their gas is not enough they can top-up (after the meter stopping), but most of the times they just say roughly “mai pai” (I don’t go) or NO!

One can already see when they are only opening the left-hand-side window that they first want to know your destination!
