Transport boss facing multiple graft inquiries (Thailand)

Transport permanent secretary Supoj Saplom is now facing investigations into the sources of his accumulated wealth by several agencies.

Transport Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat said on Monday he had formed a fact-finding committee to determine if Mr Supoj is unusually rich. The committee is headed by Thongthong Chandrangsu, permanent secretary of the PM’s Office, and has instructions to finish the task in 30 days.

The minister said the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is also investigating Mr Supoj’s financial status and asset declarations.
